From UX to Art: A Pivot Fueled by Purpose

After two decades in digital design - leading UX/UI for e‑commerce brands and working alongside founders, CEOs, and creative teams - I shifted career paths.

Motherhood refocused my priorities; as life transformed, I found grounding in creating by hand - through paint, texture, and process.

What began with refurbishing furniture in the garage and painting in the loft space above, eventually became The Loft Space Studio: a personal creative retreat that turned into a professional studio space with purpose.

The Work Takes Over: A Practice Emerges

As I painted more, my voice sharpened. My abstract botanical work draws on movement, colour, and organic forms - shaped by daily walks through nature reserves in Waltham Abbey and Epping Forrest, and years spent designing for other people's visions.

These paintings became not just expressive, but cohesive. A style emerged. A studio routine formed. The Loft Space wasn’t just a workspace -it was becoming a business.

Learning to Sell: Markets, Shops & Pop-Ups

I brought the work into the real world through London’s oldest markets -Spitalfields and Greenwich - then scaled it into John Lewis pop-ups, Brixton’s Solo Gift Shop, and an online store.

I tested formats, priced products, got feedback, and refined my voice — learning, quite literally, how to sell art.

From Artist to Art Business

By 2025, things accelerated. I was accepted to exhibit at The Other Art Fair in Brick Lane - a pivotal milestone. I met buyers, gallery owners, and fellow artists. I sold large originals, signed with two galleries, and began curating my body of work.

I continued consulting with other artists and creatives - helping them bring their own ideas to life through branding, packaging, and visual design. The full spectrum of my career was finally coming together.

The Future: Open Studio & Creative Expansion

The next phase of The Loft Space Studio is about access, connection, and community.

I believe the future of a sustainable, art-led business lies in building real relationships — and that starts with opening a home studio gallery and design consultation hub. A space where collectors and clients can explore, commission, and connect with the creative process.

I’ll continue developing original collections while expanding into murals, interior installations, and visual support for other artists and small businesses — from design to print and beyond.

Consultancy, Curation & Creative Collaboration

The Loft Space Studio now bridges two worlds: design and fine art. I offer select branding and visual strategy services to other creatives — from logo design and packaging to print-ready file prep.

I also place artwork in curated spaces, consult on colour and composition for interior designers, and collaborate on bespoke creative projects.

Whether it’s a mural, a campaign, or a gallery wall — my role is to bring life and clarity to creative spaces.
